Objective
Support the economy of the Raramuris families in the Carlos Arroyo Herrera and Díaz Infante settlements and promote a culture of caring for the environment.
The raramuri that lives in the settlements on average earns per family (5 average members) $ 6 685.2 pesos per month and the average cost a fortnight on gas of a tank that has a cost of $ 300.00 pesos, that is, $ 600.00 per month, which represents 8.98% of the monthly income.
It is important to provide information on the care of nature to the members of the settlements, to achieve greater care for nature and a better coexistence among neighbors since the contamination of a few people harms the entire community.
The use of solar heaters provides an economic saving per family, which will contribute to improve the quality of life.

- Solar heating systems are beneficial for the environment.
- Solar water heaters do not emit harmful greenhouse gases.
- Over a period of 20 years, a solar water heater will not release 50 tons of carbon dioxide into the air.
- A warm home and hot water is guaranteed for the inhabitants of the settlement since they do not have the economic possibilities to buy gas, cleaning themselves with too cold water, which directly affects their health.
- Having hot water prevents and avoid frequent diseases among the inhabitants of the settlements, which are precisely those related to the respiratory system.
It is important to provide information on the care of nature to the members of the settlements, to achieve greater care for nature and a better coexistence among neighbors since the contamination of a few people harms the entire community.
- Preventing diseases in the respiratory tract, by guaranteeing water and warm home, helps to avoid them, especially during the cold season, which are the most frequent among the indigenous raramuris who live in the settlements.
- Savings of up to 80% in the use of gas, this way it helps the Rarámuris economically and gives them the possibility of providing a better food with that money.
- Contribute to have a better coexistence among neighbors, by providing families with information on caring for the environment also contributes to have a better coexistence and greater respect among neighbors.

- Participatory community diagnosis to give a solution to the problems detected. In this diagnosis, 2 related problems were found (the first concerning the excessive expenditure of gas during the winter and the second related to problems of coexistence that have arisen among the neighbors due to contamination and misuse of natural resources) and contributed the possible solutions to the problem, the adult community men and women raramuris participating for equally.
